We’re delighted to share that G W Martin has successfully passed the AS9100 Stage 1 audit. It’s a significant milestone in our commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvement, and one we’re incredibly proud of.
What does the Stage 1 audit involve?
The Stage 1 audit is a thorough review of our quality management system. Auditors look closely at our processes, our documentation and our procedures, checking they meet the demanding requirements of the AS9100 aerospace standard.
Passing is a real credit to our team. Every person here has played a part in getting us to this point, and it shows in the result.
What happens next?
Following this success, we’ve been formally recommended to progress to Stage 2, which is scheduled for November 2026. This next stage goes further than the first. Rather than just reviewing our documentation, auditors will assess how our systems are implemented and perform across the business day to day.
We’re treating this as the next step on our journey towards full AS9100 certification, which we’re aiming to achieve later this year.
Why this matters
Quality has never been something we chase for the sake of a certificate. Instead, we’ve made it central to how we work as a business and how we build our reputation. Passing Stage 1 reinforces our position as a partner our customers can rely on, reflecting the standards we hold ourselves to every day.
